Giada di Laurentiis - first off can someone tell me how to pronounce her goddamn name (until someone does I'll refer to her as G-string - as in something annoying I can't seem to pick out of my ass crack). Secondly - how much do you hate that picture? I can't stand women that think they are hot for no reason - and this woman could be their Queen (I wonder if her and Tori Spelling are friends?).She loves to cook high-fat Italian food - it looks great dripping in sticks of butter, cheese and wrapped up in prosciutto. But give me a break - do any of us actually believe that this skinny bitch eats any of this stuff? She's what? 92 lbs? The closest thing this girl must get to eating, is taking her obligatory bite for the camera when something comes out of the oven - then running to the toilet with her fingers rammed down her throat.
The "friends" on her show must be the cast-offs that the Contessa won't take on hers - again we have stone faced people sitting there pretending to enjoy her food. Only G-string likes to do them one better- she has to describe every morsel of food she's made to everyone. Then they must look on in awe of her incredible skills of making jello with champagne instead of water (quick someone tell the Cordon Bleu chefs about THAT one!)
Her most annoying trait is her tendency to pronounce anything Italian with a fake Italian accent. Exmaple - mozzarella has to become mozzzarrrelllaaa. Sometimes G-string slips up and says it the normal dumb American way (duh, what's that there cheese that comes in the can and you shake?), proving that she's totally faking the whole "Italian" thing.
Seriously, I hate her so much - and yet I can't look away...
Tomorrow: Rachel Ray - For the love of god, will someone please push her into a boiling pot of EVOO?
Food from yesterday:
Breakfast - blah blah blah... I DON'T want to hear it
Lunch - peanut butter sandwich, triscuits and creamcheese (creativity takes a holiday)
Dinner - Sushi again (I think I'm growing a tail - and not in the good way), wine
Total: 1365 calories, 54 g fat, 115 g carbs, 50 g protein, not too bad I guess...

OMG, I totally agree with you comments about "G-String". Seriously, she drives me crazy, yet I always watch her show. By the way, did you ever notice how large her head is?!
I am a food network addict so I love your postings about the hosts, because they are so true! Please keep them coming!
looking forward to the Rachel Ray dissection tomorrow...she has good recipes (5 minute fudge..yum!) but she is seriously like a munchkin on speed most days...
Hahahaha, I love Rachel Ray for all of the save reasons I hate a lot of other people...she is so perky and totally gets all giddy over her cooking...it is fun to watch and make fun of, but yes the EVOO thing is amusing!
G-string sounds annoying as hell. I've never seen her on TV here - we don't get the Food Network. It's probably better. Looking forward to the RR installment...
I can't wait until you rip on Rachael Ray (note how she spells her name incorrectly)! She really bugs me...
Thank you, you just made me spit out my pop on my screen with you EVOO comment :P Aahahaha I can't stop laughing!
Seriously, I hate her so much - and yet I can't look away
Hahaha.. it's like when you pass a bad accident on the side of the road!
Sure you can stell the pic on my site. I did ;)
Looking forward to Rachel day..lol
Giada is pronounced Jah-dah. And I find her show very soothing-the soft music, the closeups of her cracking eggs and whisking things. Katie Couric visited her at her house in Italy on the "Today" show. She really does over-enunciate everything though; just listen to her say the word "biscotti". Love your blog!
